Remember Haiti? It was that place that got decimated by an earthquake right before that other place was destroyed by an earthquake. Well, Ferrari remembers, so it held a big, swanky party in Beverly Hills to raise money for Haitian relief agencies.
During the party, an auction was held to extract money from the well-heeled celebs. Although most of the stuff was your typical "be near Ferrari" fare like a racing suit and a chance to be on a pit crew for a day, the big prize of the night was the first Ferrari 458 in the U.S.
Dan Neil, now of Wall Street Journal fame, conducted the auction and managed to squeeze out a bid for $530,000, which is probably about twice the sticker price. Good to be rich eh?

I didn't like the styling of this car when it was first shown, and I'm still not a real fan, but I'm slowly warming up to it.

Amazing how next to no-one is paying any attention to the car in that photo.

LOL @ desmolicious
I hope whoever got it either drives it like it's mean for, or let some poor/ill kids have a ride in it. Put that baby to *good* use! :)
