Fernando Alonso Goes Soft, Orders Up Maserati GranCabrio for Daily Duty

alonso-maser-1600.jpg
Ah, the life of a Ferrari Formula One driver. All the grueling hours of testing, the overzealous fans and champagne-soaked driving suits. Sometimes it's just too much, and for those occasions you need something to take you away from it all.

When Fernando Alonso sat down to order himself up a car, the Maserati GranCabrio was his choice. Why? Well, we don't really know, probably something to do with the way it looks, the sound of its V8 and the name at the top of his paychecks.

Thankfully, Mr. Alonso did not go for the obvious and order it in red. Instead he went for some shade of dark gray with a light interior. Nice score there Fernando, now you can relax.

Good choice. Given the violence in racing, after being battered around in his Ferrari at 4.5 g, I'm sure Mr. Alonso does not have to prove his hardness to anyone in InsideLine.

Fernando loves his privacy and tries to live a somewhat normal life. The flashiest red low to the ground performance special Ferrari is not up his alley for road use. This Maserati is a nice choice.

yeah, this Masser is definitely low key. How about a Fiat Multipla if he really wants to be low key.

Low key and Masser do not go in the same sentence! As far as going soft? Compared to some jiggly riding supercar that you can only drive at 5/10ths at any given moment, I'll take the GranCabrio anytime!
