In this case, Mr. Timberlake will oversee all U.S. relations with the nation known as A1. It is a small nation, but one that Audi clearly sees as important on the world stage. I mean, JT does not work cheap, after all.
After being summoned by Audi supreme leader Rupert Stadler, Timberlake strode onto the stage and declared the A1 "cool, environmentally friendly and perfectly suited to his crazy urban lifestyle."
Other than that, Timberlake didn't say much about his future plans as the ambassador of A1, but judging by the crowd that gathered around him after the press conference, plenty of people seem to care.

Come on. As if he'd ever bother with an A1.

Sadly these types of things actually work. Despite my recommendations to do otherwise; my brother bought a Nikon Coolpix because of Ashton Kutcher.

I agree with carguy622... this shit works with highschool (or highschool minded) girls and guys... and there are lots of them... in fact tons! I for one don't give a S*** what timberland does, but i know my younger sister does. I mourn for humanity.

Oh correction his name is Timberlake, I think timberland is someone else...

People like Kutcher? Really? Timberlake can sing, dance, act and sadly is very charming. But Kutcher?
Never get the whole celebrity endorsement thing.

His "crazy urban lifestyle" in Europe? Audi does not plan to ship this stateside, is Timberlake that popular overseas?
perrito says:

If Timberlake moved to, or lived in, Europe he would instantly be "talented" - the pool is not deep over there. Just watch a European talent show - or variety show - it's embarrassing. And to be an actual reporter or photographer and try to get a shot of this tool... really? No.

perrito - stop talking out of your ass. He is no more talented in Europe than he is in the USA. Talent - umm who makes the best and most admired cars, I believe Europe does with Aston Martin, Ferrari, Porsche, BMW, Audi/VW, Lotus. Come on, grow up.
I agree with others that say that it is a sad day when a celebrity can help sell stuff.

Perrito, um sure. Yeah, America rules. We're better! Wahoo, We have...um...that guy from Maroon 5? Britney Spears? Oh wait, there's no easy way to quantify this. Hmmm...must re-think indefensible notion that America has so much talent.

To you many uninformed comments here, JT owes several Audis including an R8, S5, Q7, and A8L. He is Audiphile and thus has a strong relationship with the premier marquee Audi.

Jealous much? If he is successful in what he does, why should he quit again? And why do you care again?
Also agree with reality2 :)

He's actually a very good choice. He's young, talented, and sophisticated (not regarding his music).
Not to mention he actually is a very large Audi fan. There are pictures of him all over the web getting into his S5, S8, and Q7.

I think his music sucks. I'm not a girl though. If that makes me jealous, I guess I am. I said he should stick to his music to make it better. Maybe on his own this time.

Why is everyone on this thread so worked up? Like celebrity endorsements are some new, shocking thing that offends your sensibilities? Like we expect celebrities to shun the spotlight and refuse money? Like we expect big corporations to deny themselves the opportunity to sell more product by slapping a famous person's face on their marketing campaigns?
Gimme a break here. America invented the celebrity endorsement, fer cryin' out loud. There is no sense in the freakout over Audi following suit. How come we're not posting about Tiger Woods and Buick? At least JT is relatively scandal-free...

Audi has a world class marketing team. First they get all of their flagship cars into Hollywood box office films, then they hire A list celebrities to do nothing more than tell the public they think Audis are cool. It may be cheesy, but it works. Good job Audi.
Their new ads where they basically take a crap on Lexus, Mercedes and BMW are pretty great too.
carguy622 says:
06:13 AM, 03/ 3/10
I could care less about how many Audi's Justin owns, does that make him any more qualified than Mr. Smith who also owns a bunch of Audi's? Is Justin an engineer or a professional race car driver? The only thing that makes his opinion more valuable is the fact that he is famous and some people care about what he drives.
Celebrity endorsements are nothing more that a way to differentiate your product in a market where it is becoming increasingly difficult to do so. I've always found them to be insincere and annoying.
