Spy Photo: Hennessey Venom GT Caught Before 2010 Geneva Auto Show

venom-r34-1600.jpg
These pictures show what looks to be the finished Hennessey Venom GT supercar being loaded up prior to its premiere at the 2010 Geneva Auto Show. As you can see, the Venom GT is based on the Lotus Elise, but with a significant stretch added to accommodate an LS9 V8 straight out of the Corvette ZR1.

Hennessey has said previously that it expects to squeeze 1000-horsepower out of the twin turbocharged V8 while keeping vehicle weight down to 2,395 pounds. So yeah, some simple math says this car will be ridiculously fast.

It'll be fast once it gets traction... did they do anything to help it overcome the effects of drag and make it so that it has enough downforce to keep it on the ground?

now that right there is one of the best looking cars ever made. A longer more lean lotus elise. Somewhat looks like a porsche gt but then takes a look of a ferrari as well. IMO this car should definitely made. It sounds like the fastest car to ever walk the streets and it looks like it too. I wouldn't mind picking up one of these one day haha.

Did Hennessey just win the lottery? It seems like they have a new project car every week.

Btw, nice!
