Ken Block In Sweden "Testing" Ice Racing Ford Fiesta

After the WRC season launch event in Paris last week, Ken Block and his co-driver, Alex Gelsomino, spent some time in Sweden. The plan was to visit Olsbergs MSE, the company which prepares Block's Fiesta for the Rally America Series, and to spend time with the Ford WRC crew as Rally Sweden unfolded.

Along the way, however, Block found some time to wheel this all-wheel drive Hayabusa-powered miniature Ford Fiesta around a local ice track. We're going to say this was fun even if Block doesn't seem eager to admit it.

Ahhh, warm fuzzy memories from the past.

I remember driving commie cars (Ladas, Skodas, Dacias) around a frozen lake track north of Ottawa back in the early 80's . You could get the cars used for next to nothing in Canada and that's all you needed to go "racing".

Low risk (gotta love snowbanks) and low buck (see choice of cars).
