A photo of the restyled 2011 Toyota RAV4 for Europe was released today. As you can see, it's a slightly more dramatic redesign than the barely noticeable refresh we got in 2009.
Not a bad looking restyle in our opinion. Toyota says this RAV4 will get a range of engines that will make it the most efficient vehicle in its class. Look for the official unveil at the 2010 Geneva Auto show in a couple weeks.

Um, it's a direct copy of the Tiguan. Wow, that's pretty sad that they copied a design that's a few years old.

I think it looks like the Forester from the front.

I wonder what they did with the interior?

Follows the nasty trend of dipping a lot in the rear. Makes it less practical than it should be.

Wonder if the rear door will still open in the wrong direction. Newsflash Toyota, not all countries drive on the wrong side of the road.

Looks more substantial, Tiguan-ish. In my experience the V6 in these things is fantastic and the transmission is one of the most pleasing I've ever driven (I've never met one that I actually enjoyed rather than accepted). And the handling and tossability is surprisingly Honda-like.
But on that note, the interior needed the most help of all. The materials, construction, features, comfort are all way below it's asking price. I can understand why because these can be bought all day long for around 21 grand and Toyota standardized the interiors so it's the same across the model range (saves $$$) but it's more Yaris than Camry.
Would love to see Toyota give it an interior more in line with the CRV or the Terrain/Equinox (although those are much higher priced with options) and they'll have another solid entry again.

Tiguan? That front fascia design has been around on the RAV4 ever since that body was made years ago in Japan. If anything, that Tiguan is influenced on the JDM Rav4..

Do not see any resemblence with the Tiguan. It is racist that when some japanese came up with some good designs; then, they would be copies. Some people need to stop their hating because everybody knows that japanese can make some good cars and the westerners cannot. Westerners are only good at complaining and forming unions.
