The parody manages to highlight everything wrong and right with that ad...which is kinda depressing...but at the same time, I subscribe to the theory that humor is merely grotesque reality and the fact that the original ad falls into the depressing rather than than the grotesque, means it's not funny...and therefore, neither is the parody...so I'm giving them both fails.

Look-It's a great ad. Yes it is a a parody to the state of relationships,including marriage,and yes it is over the top on this. Let's face it relationships and marriage
has been talked to death and made fun of billions of times over the last billions of yrs. What's wrong with this type of ad? If it gets a man's juices flowing that he goes out and buys one then it has clearly suceeded. I thought the ad was funny and speaks of the reality that people in relationships need to have somthing that is they can call there own, If not relationships will fail.

Great ad and with the G8 gone, it's the only cool affordable big car left.

A bit crude perhaps but I can't see anyone caring after driving one (the man bag/ male grooming products types will disagree I'm sure).

Yes, only "stupid hippies" find that ad stupid. It's not like the ad is absurd schlock that dripped from the sphincter of some advertising group that thinks you're a damn henpecked moron who's too cowardly to actually "stand up to your wife". You have to find your outlet the passive-aggressive (read: effeminate) way by buying a car that supposedly caters to your manliness.

Um... @ orangutan guys who "stand up to your wife" are the ones who "beat up their wives." "Real men" are suppose to take shit from their wives so that there is peace in the family and so that you don't have to beat your wife up.
