Animal House Deathmobile For Sale on eBay

Ramming-Speed.jpg

Better hurry. There's only 21 hours left to bid on one of the most iconic movie cars of all time, the Deathmobile from the cinematic classic Animal House, or atleast replica of it (the auction doesn't really say it is the car from the movie so we're not sure it is). But it was built from a mid-'60's Lincoln Continental just like the real movie car so it might be, but then again, it might not be. Whatever, it's for sale right now on eBay and we're thinking we found our next long term test car.

The "Buy It Now" price is $12,500. What do you think?

Ramming speed.

The car looks so much better in ultra low def. In broad daylight it looks like i could have done it in high-school with some cardboard and spray paint.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but that's Dean Vernon Wormers' head, right?

I believe the head is that of Faber College's namesake and founder, Emil Faber.

That has to be a replica. The head of Faber is bald in the movie and some other small details just look wrong. The original car was a '63 Continental, does the eBay ad list a year for this one?

I'm with notabigdeal. The car looks awesome in low-def, but cheesy in the picture. having see how cheesy it is in the picture, I'll never see it the same. Animal House is forever ruined. ;(

technetium99, the ad says it's a '66. If it's a replica, but it's pretty darned close to the real thing. I'm not convinced it's a replica.

"...we're thinking we found our next long term test car."

That would be sooooooo funny!

Think IL track tested...

Handling: Pretty much non-existent. Heavy understeer to snap over steer at the limit.
Braking: Some. Better plan ahead. Way ahead.
Acceleration: Yeah, but you don't really want to do that too much.
