Yes, that easily makes the Chevrolet Suburban the longest running single nameplate in history. Born as the Suburban Carryall in 1935, the ultimate family hauler has been around in various configurations ever since.
The 75th-anniversary model introduced today is a very typical special edition. By that we mean it's not all that different from a standard Suburban. In this case, all 2,570 anniversary editions will be painted in White Diamond Tricoat matched with a tan interior. A set of 20-inch chrome wheels and a roof rack will be standard as well. Other than that, they're equipped like any other LTZ Suburban, which is already a pretty nice setup. Sales begin early this summer.

Way to go GM. Way to bring back your image. The longest running nameplate, 75 years running: "Hey everybody, you get White with Tan interior! AND, 20" chrome CLAD wheels! Isn't that great? Start the line here."

I think they forgot to dress the tires.

I like tan interiors. Way better then the endless sea of grey you see on so many cars and trucks these days.
20 inch chrome wheels?? I'll pass.

I see nothing special about this at all...you pay extra to have a limited edition of a white suburban with a little nametag on it? I don't see the point.
And on a side note...i really do hate the square wheel wells, it makes the wheels look so out of place.
