You've seen the video of Pastrana jumping a Subaru WRX STI rally car 269 feet. Now here's an after-dinner drink: This very enlargeable photo of his jump trajectory.

I still think this would have attracted more attention if he would have just jumped into the harbor. This stunt will be forgotten tomorrow. And no I wouldn’t have wanted anyone to get hurt .

Curious as to how it works to "rotate" the car part way through the jump. At least that's how it appears to me in the 7th and 8th image after leaving the jump ramp. The trajectory seems smooth and contiguous and then the car changes attitude in the 7th image - starts to nose over - and nose up in the 8th. It seems to extend the jump as well.

I forgot about it before it even happened, didn't even remember to watch it.
Just not impressed with stupid stunts anymore.

This is nothing more than another stunt that has nothing to do with rallying. Both Pastrana and Block, while no doubt skilled drivers, are yet to prove themselves on the world rally stage (WRC that is). Until then, they are just entertainers and small league rally champions.
