Motus Motorcycles, a new American bike company headquartered in Alabama, is hoping to become the first manufacturer to offer a direct-injected V4 on a production motorcycle. The KMV4 shown here was designed and engineered by Katech, a well-known supplier in Michigan that has done work for GM and an assortment of race teams in ALMS and NASCAR.
As you can see, it uses a very traditional design that looks like your average small block. Katech chose the pushrod design for its wide torque band, high efficiency and strong durability. Initial output estimates are 140-horsepower at 7800rpm and 120 pound-feet of torque at 4500rpm.
Motus is planning to use the 1650cc engine in its MST-01 sport touring bike, its first model, and later in a MST-R model with additional horsepower.

Those are close to the power/torque ratings of my econobox engine. :(
When I was curious months and months ago, I looked up the Taunus V4 engine on youtube... Sounds ballsier than you might imagine.
