Cadillac XTS Reportedly Will Be Built at GM's Oshawa, Ontario Plant

cadillac_xts_tease.jpg Canadian broadcaster CTV reports that the production version of the Cadillac XTS sedan will go into production at GM's Oshawa, Ontario, plant in January 2012. The XTS will be unveiled in concept form at the 2010 Detroit Auto Show.

Cadillac officials had previously told us the car would start production in 2011.

The source of the CTV's information is apparently a memo from the Canadian Automotive Parts Manufacturers' Association (APMA).

I think it makes sense for the XTS to be built here in Oshawa. This plant has won awards for building high quality cars and GM definitely needs to make sure this car has the quality that the potential customers for this car would expect.
