Apparently some journalist named Jeremy took BMW's SAVs to task for poor performance in the snow. BMW was not amused, so much so that it produced this video to show just how capable its vehicles are in the white stuff. This may or may not convince you that the X5 or X6 is a stupid vehicle.

wtf, no vehicle is inherently "good" or "bad" in snow. AWD with summer tires set up on any car will suck in the snow and cold. and of course there's the driver (but how dare i imply that "Jeremy" doesn't have the skills!).
it's fun to see X5/6 M vehicles romp, anyways ...

Das Germans have no sense of humor.
But then since BMW will gladly sell you the X5/X6 with factory-fitted summer tires, they should fully expect someone to drive these cars in the snow. I'm always surprised the dealerships don't make you sign waivers after waivers about summer tires and winter driving.

They forgot the "Don't try this with your BMW" disclaimer.

Rubish... any 4WD car can do as good as this 2 does. I will even supose that a car like a Subaru STi or a Mitsu Evo can outrun this trucks easily. You dont need that big wheels or the high ride to run there. This kind of cars have high ride height because they are suposed to dificult terrains with obstacles, but they dont.
I recon that where they are driving, even a the 4WD Audi R8 will run easily, it's a smooth surface

joliveira,
You missed the whole conversation, you're off topic.
This post is about a certain TV program's segment:
Go to 5:00-6:00 part.

Clarkson's bit was great, though I guess misleading (I don't recall if he mentioned the summer tires or not...)
