#NAIAS Cadillac's general manager Bryan Nesbitt didn't use much of today's Detroit Auto Show press conference to talk about the 2011 Cadillac CTS-V. He went over the specs, pointed out those big honking pipes and then moved on. That's what happens when there's a concept car waiting for its debut.
This CTS coupe deserved more than that. It was just two years that Cadillac teased us with what was then the CTS coupe concept. Now, we not only have a production version of that car, we'll soon have a 556-horsepower version with a manual transmission, Brembo brakes and a limited slip differential.
Maybe that kind of car has lost its luster in the hybrid world, but anyone who's a fan of Cadillac, or GM for that matter, should be far more excited about the CTS-V coupe than the XTS concept that got all the attention.

While not a surprise, this car is arguably the best looking new vehicle at the NAIAS.

Its not a matter of being MORE excited about the V. Both cars are needed. They will sell a hell of a lot more XTS' than they will CTS-V coupes so I'm not sure why Cadillac fans wouldnt be happy about the XTS. Every car that isnt RWD isn't bad.

From the B-pillar back reminds me of the 90's El Dorado. Which isn't a bad thing. I'm sure Caddy won't have any problems selling this or the XTS.

I don`t care about this one, I prefer the sedan.

Don't understand why one would want a two door car this BIG.

Typically the performance version looks better than the standard...they just slapped the CTS-V sedan bumper and hood on, which sad to say doesn’t look good on the coupe at all. It looks to angular and perfectly level then the rest of the car (which has a wedge shape). Just hold your hand over the back half of the car and you may see where I’m coming from.

I really like those tailpipes.
I wonder if I can fit that lower valance and tailpipes onto my CTS-V sedan?

Okay FRONT bumper and hood. I thought that went without saying but…

Same people who would buy a 6 series or S5 or E coupe would look at this. There are numerous large coupes on the market. The Camaro is actually about the same length as this car.

It is a sharp looking car but I'm not really into big two doors either.
CTS wagon looks great though

A gold grill and 24" wheels will really make it stand out.
