Volkswagen Teases Again With New Pictures of Scirocco R

vw-sciroccor-pro.jpg

Just when we had forgotten all about the Scirocco R, Volkswagen goes and unloads another batch of photos. The shots were destined for European outlets, of course, as they're the only ones who will get a chance to buy the 261-horsepower coupe. I'm sure we'll get some sort of Golf R or something. Yay.

Wow that's a great looking car. A worthy sucessor to the beautiful original Scirocco.

I know it would be expensive, but I can't believe that there would be no market for this car with the US GTI engine.

I think VW should drop the Golf and send over the Scirocco. The Jetta can be the practical choice and the Scirocco can be the cool choice.

No need for the Golf.

I don't understand VW USA's logic. They say that if they sell this car in the US, it would take away from sales of the GTI, but isn't it doing the same thing in Europe? Dear VW, give us the Scirocco!

Interior is spot on, exterior is gorgeous. Why can't we get this car? WHY?

The Golf is a great 5-door with tons of space due to its efficient packaging, even if a little bland looking. This, however, is what a nice coupe should look like.

Best looking hatchback out there, period.

VW is like torturing us, just like dangling it in front of us then not letting us have this! I say get rid of the GTI and just give us this beauty!
