A mid-cycle facelift is in store for the BMW 3 Series coupe. Prototypes have been out and about Germany for a while, but these are the least camouflaged examples our shooters have run across to date. Notably, it appears the E92 coupe will be getting a sassier front end.

Uh oh, good thing for BMW that GM killed Pontiac. That grill is perilously close to the grill on the G6. This is of course ironic as the Pontiac grill was clearly intended to reference the classic Pontiac nose as well as BMW.

@bankerdanny,
That is not the production grill. It is blacked out.

The blackout is part of what I'm talking about, but the ever increasing recline and the smooth integration with the hoodline is very Pontiac.

oh noos!
Ugly.
The current front end looks better.

@kingkhalas,
Um, how can you tell what it actually looks like with tape covering everything that's changed? I would certainly hope that the current car, with its fascias free of masking tape, would look better than a disguised pre-production vehicle.

I love it when BMW enthusiasts knock Infiniti for its recent design updates to the FX and the new M ... then when a refreshed 3 series coupe comes out, and looks like this thing .... what is it, a 1997 Honda Prelude? Got to love it.

I love it when people can pass judgment on a vehicle when they cant fully see all the design details that are in place UNDER the camo. Priceless!

I thought the rd car behind the silver one was a Volvo S60. Not that it's a bad thing, but that car went out of style a few years ago.

Return of the jelly bean. It would be very hard to purchase this design over an A5.
