Pricing Announced for 2011 BMW ActiveHybrid 7 Series

bmw7seriesannouncement.jpg

So what will you have to pay to get that warm fuzzy feeling inside while driving a two-and-a-half ton luxo-barge with over 400 horsepower? A mere $103,125.

Of course, that's only if you're satisfied with the standard-size ActiveHybrid 7 Series. The long-wheelbase version will run you a cool $107,025. Both go on-sale in the U.S. in the spring.

Hmm.. The 2010 750i get's 15 City / 22 Hwy. So 10-15% improvement would be (let's say 15%): 17.25MPG City / 25.3MPG Hwy. *Combined = 21.275mpg.

The 2010 LS600hL get's 20 City / 22 HWY Combined = 21mpg.

The LS600hL is using NiMH, so considering the BMW is using Li-Ion I would expect a better MPG out of the BMW.

Now imagine when LS600hL switches over to Li-Ion?# Also consider the LS600hL is now almost 4 yrs old. #first introduced in 2006 at NY auto show. I'm sure there has been more technology available to Lexus/Toyota.

kscbruin,
I can't get over the Lexus LS's UNPADDED door armrests. Ridiculous. Totally pwned by even econocars these days.

At least the BMW's a real luxury car, with standard padded armrests! OMG even a Nissan Versa has them! Or drop down to a Lexus RX350, even an RX has them!
