Chrysler just unveiled a new brand logo in at its big product press conference in November, but a press release issued today by NAIAS, the Detroit Auto Show organizers, that is, indicates Chrysler and Fiat will reveal a new company logo at the show next month.
Among the other breaking news in the press release: "Multiple automakers are planning to once again debut vehicles at the show."
Hear that, folks? Not just one automaker. Multiple automakers. Now you'll just have to go Detroit. We're sure Northwest still has a seat for you by the lavatory.

This new Chrysler logo is perhaps the worst logo I've ever seen. It's just awful.

Anyone else think the new Chrysler logo looks a lot like this?

Which is why it's so appropriate.
If the auto industry were a family, Chrysler would be that good-for-nothing uncle that spends all his time talking about all those chores he's gonna take care of tomorrow.

It's not the best design but it's better than the Ford blue oval or Chevy bowtie.

No it's not. Not even close. The Ford and Chevy logos are classic, and should never be changed—or, if updated, done very carefully.
Logos are first and foremost marks that identify the brand. There are few logos that do a better job at that than those from Ford and Chevy. Trust me on this. I've designed logos for over 30 years.

This logo is hard to read. I think they should go back to the Pabst-Blue-Ribbon style badge from before.
