Is Kia Working on a Car Above the Cadenza?

kia_sedan_2_blog.jpg

kia_sedan.jpg We've shown you the Kia Cadenza, the sedan that will replace the Amanti, but is there room for a sedan above that? Maybe, if parent company Hyundai's upward drive, with the Genesis and Equus, is any indication.

In Korea, the Cadenza is called K7. This photo was apparently taken at a design conference in Korea, during which Kia's director of design, Peter Schreyer, showed a glimpse of another car possibly to be called the K9.

Photos like this are always sketchy, but if real, we like the direction Schreyer is taking here.

I'm happy for Kia and Hyundai's success and health but I really hope they don't get too big too fast as it has proven to come with sever consequences.

Does anyone else see the BMW EfficientDynamics Concept in that nose?

I do hope the K9 isn't a dog on the market. . .

This is probably the long-rumored CH.

While slotted above the C7/Cadenza, will actually be a SMALLER sports sedan built on a shortened Genesis platform.
