Don't Wait Up for the Cadillac CTS Convertible

CTS convertible flipper.jpg

Given the upheaval at GM, we've doubted at times that we'd ever see a Cadillac CTS coupe, much less a wagon. Now both of those variations exist, and there's only one more CTS to wonder about: a convertible. The lines kind of work, don't they?

But today a Cadillac official told us to stop with the wondering -- there will be no Cadillac CTS convertible.

"Nope," he said, "no convertible. With the arrival of the coupe, the CTS line is complete."

Not building one is a mistake, in my humble opinion.

good decision.
The CTS needs a gen3 before it goes convertible. this gen 2 is aging in design and build quality.

+1 billt...and I've said this a million times, but it bears repeating: Art & Science is almost a decade old. GIVE IT UP ALREADY!

It's the Art and Science design language that makes me to not consider any Cadillac, even if they provide one of the best bang for the buck in terms of performance and handling.

I know it seems petty, but it would be something that I would cringe looking at day after day.

...and yes, I have seen and been in and around enough A&S Cadillacs, so the design has NOT grown on me and has not aged well to me.

The closest I've come to lusting for a car... but I can wait for gen 3.

Build quality and styling are my two biggest beefs with the current Cadillac lineup.
