If you come to Los Angeles for the auto show, go stand next to the 2011 Audi R8 Spyder 5.2 FSI for 5 minutes. This is a stunningly beautiful convertible and some of that beauty is bound to rub off on your ugly mug.
The R8 Spyder hasn't changed since its official debut in Frankfurt. It hasn't gotten any less red. It hasn't lost any of its 10 cylinders (no 4.2-liter V8 for the convertible R8, remember). And it's only about two months closer to arriving at U.S. dealerships.
The R8 Spyder goes into production in the first quarter of 2010, and Europeans get first dibs on it in the spring. "Summer" is the only time frame being given for U.S. deliveries, so that probably means late August. -- Erin Riches, Senior Editor

Will Audi be offering a clear engine bonnet? I think it would complement this stunning car.
