As expected, the L.A. auto show's replacement keynote speaker, GM Product Vice Chair Bob Lutz, had little to offer in the way of news. And he didn't want to talk about the freshly deposed Fritz Henderson.
He did tell us that General Motors will build 8,000 Chevrolet Volts for the 2011 model year (with sales beginning in California in late 2010). However, GM plans to ramp up production to build more than 50,000 2012 Chevrolet Volts. -- Erin Riches, Senior Editor
