Yesterday, we showed you video of a million-dollar Bugatti being towed out of a Texas lake after its owner "lost control." Well, now there's video of the incident and it's clear that Bugatti driver wasn't paying much attention as the Veyron plunged into the water with no visible provocation.

"I think it's a Lambo or something"...I beg to differ sir, it will probably not be yours one day, at least not with that kind of car knowledge.

He claimed to swerve to avoid a Pelican, then he dropped his cell phone and went off the road. (see http://galvestondailynews.com/story.lasso?ewcd=c892f48ef7806730)
You think on a car costing in excess of a million dollars they could have at least installed a blue tooth system.

@rallyandbosox: I have to disagree. The camera man or his driving buddy should be able to get a very good deal on that particular Veyron, now. Dreams *do* come true.

I'll bet that the car may have had an option for bluetooth, but whether it did or not, we American drivers are obsessed with our phones. We can't put them down. For that matter, we are obsessed with doing anything and everything in our car, except drive. I'm surprised he didn't have a a MegaGulp Supersized Triple Whammy Burger and Fries as well.

The video's not high def, but it's good enough to tell that there wasn't a pelican anywhere near that idiot. If I'm that guy's insurance company and saw the video above I might try to find a way to deny the claim.

At speed, a pelican can be pretty far away and still freak out a driver.
I just hope that if I'm ever caught on camera at an exciting scene I say something that sounds a little better than, "Oh s***!"
I'll try to get in the habit of saying, "By Jove!"

Carlisimo - My favorite is to gasp the word "Gasp!". It makes me think I'm in a crappy book. You should try it sometime, at a sporting event or in the midst of another similar crowd of people. The one or two individuals who notice will look at you like you're a bit weird. Which you probably are if walk around gasping "Gasp!".

"I think its a Lambo or something. . ."
Come on you guys!?!? I almost cant put it into words how dissapointing it is to know that someone doesnt know that wasnt a Lamborghini. My mother could even tell the difference! Even non-car people and children know the difference between Ferrari's, Lamborghini"s, Porsche's, Maybachs, Bugatti's, and yes, Cadillac's. Sad. . . .
