Spy Photos: 2011 Mercedes-Benz C-Class to Get a Refresh

mercedes-benz_c-class_refre.jpg

A mid-cycle refresh is coming for the 2011 Mercedes-Benz C-Class, as shooters spotted this prototype on public roads in Germany. It's apparent that changes are in store for the front end of the car to bring it closer to the look of the current E-Class -- which is to say more rectilinear.

We're not sure we like this retouch, as the current C-Class is a fine looking car. The E-Class? Not so much.

I like the C-class a lot and think the E-class look is boring. The next vehicle change-out for us should be to swap a previous gen C-230K for a new C-Class, if they don't kill the look.

I personally think the C is one of the best looking car in it's segment. Visually, I'd like a white/tan C300 6MT Sport with the 18inch AMG rims sitting on top of a BMW 3 Series chassis. LOL!

^^^ +1 I think the current C is tops in the segment for looks. I hope the refresh is flattering. Crank up the chassis dynamics, add a 6MT on the C350 Sport and bump the 3.5L's output by 20% and you can sign me up!

Current styling for the C-Class could only go downhill. I *love* how the current C-Class Sport looks. I'm not happy with them restyling it to look like the new E-Class, which itself looks like a Chinese rip-off of a Lexus GS.

hondacura4--if you could get me a C63 AMG exterior, with a 335i under the skin, and an Audi S4 interior, I'd be in high heaven.

Hope not; the E-class front end looks too square/rectilinear for me. Just smooth out the front end and call it a day.
