Toyota issued a press release today confirming the introduction you've all been waiting for. It's the 2011 Toyota Sienna and it will be unveiled for the first time on Dec. 2nd in Los
Angeles.

That's the full extent of the release, and quite frankly we're guessing that's about all you really care to know anyway. So far that makes it Porsche Boxster Spyder and Toyota Sienna in L.A., looks like an interesting show.

i hope it has the awesome kneeling seats like the Nissan Quest. Eat that Dodge Stow n Go.

The Nissan Quest is so cool, except the self-opening doors at highway speeds and ergonomically challenging front seats.

If Toyota would get rid of the marshmallow suspension the Sienna would be a much better package. The handling characteristics of the current Sienna are downright scary.

Don't forget the poor reliability...

I hope it doesn't come with the ugly grill that Toyota puts on the Camry and Venza.

Wow, I am so excited I just fell asleep! Zzzzzzzzzz

To hondacura4 - they won't change the suspension much, it's all based on the Camry (almost all Toyota/Lexus's are)

It's a shame the suspension is so soft. Our Odyssey has shockingly good handling for its size - very noticeably better than the old sedan it replaced. On the other hand, Toyota sure did hit a grand slam with that V6. Once they put that into the Sienna in 2007, in most tests I've read it runs at least 1 second faster than any other minivan in the 0-60 mph or quarter mile (except for the Chrysler and Dodge with the 4.0 liter V6, and even then the Sienna has a solid half second advantage) and delivers some of the best real world fuel economy too.

We did test the Quest before buying our Odyssey, and I agree with billt9: very nice seats in the second and third row, convenient seat storage, plenty of space, very easy step in height for the kids.... and uncomfortable front seats (I'm only six feet tall but I couldn't find a comfortable place for my left leg in the driver's seat), poorly rated reliability, and electronic stability control - standard on EVERY competing minivan - is only available if you option it to about $35,000.
