If you're into cars, Cars and Coffee is the ultimate place to hang out on a Saturday morning in Southern California and today the ultimate Toyota, the 2011 Lexus LFA, rolled in just after sunrise. We'd heard the supercar might be trucked in, but sure enough, it was driven up under its own power and parked in a reserved space.
If you think this flat black car looks familiar, you're right. It's the same prototype we drove for our recent feature story. It now has 4,000+ miles on it -- a big chunk of these at the hands of journalists and engineers driving it on the track. But according to one Toyota engineer, "all we've had to replace so far are brakes and tires."
We didn't get to drive or ride in the LFA today, but we did make videos of 4.8-liter V10 engine starting and revving (and revving), plus the neat adjustable tach face in the cockpit. Those are all after the jump, along with many fine photos of the Lexus LFA just hanging out at Cars and Coffee.

I actually think this is an awesome effort by Toyota/Lexus however the only downside is the substantial cost of entry. I think ToyoLex should make more LFA's over a longer period of time to bring the price down as it should have a pricing structure similar to the Audi R8 5.2.

Those are by far the coolest gauges I have ever seen. I think the interior and exterior are very interesting, I still havent made my judgment on whether I like them or not. Sounds okay, I think it might be better in person judging by the grin on everyones face

Here you are thinking you're the coolest guy ever in your Mustang convertible with Lambo doors, and some dude has to pull up in an LFA.

For some reason I think these pictures are some of the best I've seen of the car. Maybe because its not on a podium or something. The cost is ludicrous when people can get some amazing cars for $150,000 to $250,000.

white is never a good debut color for any car.

I still think it looks too much like a GT-R. The adjustable gauges are very cool.

As much as it is a non worth 400K car, that start up was so so awesome.!

maybe they'll decide to remake this car in steel and aluminum, and price it no more than $100,000.

I think this car has a lot of gimicky styling like the exhaust, all the intakes/grilles that may or may not be functional, etc. But when you look at the side profile, its just a slab of material. There are no lines to follow and there is no cohesion.

This car could not do less to stir me emotionally. Boring no matter what goodies lie beneath.

I would have gone up to the Toyota guys every 10 minutes to tell them their hood was open :P
