LaNeve Out at GM: Top U.S. Sales Executive Leaving

laneve-150.jpgMark LaNeve, former Cadillac boss and the top sales executive for GM in the U.S., is leaving the company. Fritz Henderson made the announcement during this morning's company update.

LaNeve was once the head of GM's sales, service and marketing operations, but had his responsibilities reduced over the last year to U.S. sales only. No immediate replacement was named.

Gotta say, I'm a little surprised. LaNeve hasn't struck me as incompetent at all. If anyone finds info on the reasoning for this, let me know.

The man had little to work with the past few years. New Camaro sales are killer, but the rest, not so hot. Lets see what Buick can do with its new attitude and Cadillac with its new cars in the pipeline.
