Not often do "cool" and "minivan" go together, but Honda's Skydeck hybrid concept has successfully bridged the gap.
The six-passenger Skydeck has an all-glass roof and three rows of super-slim "floating" sport seats, with front scissor doors and rear sliding doors.
Honda hasn't yet announced an intention to build the hybrid minivan, but the concept vehicle could be an early sign that Honda is already considering its next-generation IMA hybrid system in larger vehicles.

I don't mean to be too negative, but its sort of rediculous how the manufactures just slap the 'hybrid' name on all these concept vehicles. I guess when you're making something that will never be mass produced, and that likely doesn't have a proper engine, you may as well slap a media-attractive (read: hybrid) badge on it...

Remember the original Honda Odyssey? Much like this size-wise. Plus Ford is bringing out something similar and we already have the Mazda 5. Not sure what volume it could muster, but packaged and priced right it could sell. Think of it as the Insight for the family.

Side view = good.
Front view = not so much.

If you live in Montana or Alaska or someplace where it rarely gets truly hot, a huge windshield and glass roof could be fine.
But I would hate to climb into the car after a few hours in a parking lot in Dallas in July.

Japan still has the small Odyssey.

Yep, if you call it a hybrid, earth friendly, green, etc., and say it will save us all from ourselves, you can get away with just about anything in the current climate.
