2009 Toyko Auto Show: Lexus LFA Photos Leak Early

Lexus LF-A 717.jpg

We're a mere five or so hours from the unveil of the long-awaited, full-production 2010 Lexus LFA supercar at the Tokyo Auto Show. But thanks to the ubiquitous some-dude-with-a-camera in Miami the Lexus that's been almost a decade in the making has been laid bare.

The pictures appear on the North American GT-R Owners Club (NAGTROC.org) Web site. We'll have more when Lexus pulls the silk off the car at the Makuhari Messe. And also look for a full First Drive story soon.

looked at the pics on NAGTROC... nice car. if this is indeed the LF-A, then I'd have to say that it's beautiful, and different. At the rumor price of $250k, the interior is as beautiful as the new Mercedes SLR (judging from the pics also). Saw a comment if this car will ride like the GTR, and if so, OUCH! $250k vs. $85k.

What's up with the gap between the hood and front fender?

^ I think they went with a 911 GT3-ish air intake or something, but it just looks like the hood doesn't close right.

Maybe I'm too much of a traditionalist, but the final product is just hideous in my eyes. It has none of the exotic, dramatic style of an Audi R8 5.2 FSI or Ferrari 458 Italia nor the classic proportions and careful detailing of the Mercedes SLS. I have no doubt that it will be breathtakingly fast, but on looks alone I'm turned off.

the front end is just awkward for me. The way the hood comes down and how the front fenders dont mesh into the front bumper. It just looks unfinished.

The hood isn't unfinished, it's a special intake.
