The BMW 5 Series hasn't had a full redesign since 2004, and Inside Line learned today that a fully revamped 5 Series sedan and wagon will be unveiled at the 2010 Geneva Auto Show. Most likely, then, we're talking about the 2011 BMW 5 Series. That's a current 5 Series sedan pictured here just for reference.
Look for an overhauled 6 Series coupe and convertible one year after that.

logic stands that its going to look like the 5 GT, except without the deformed rear end.

I hope they prove to be less Bangly.

Id look for a slightly larger car with 528, 535 and the 550i trims.
What I'm excited about is the next M5. I'm hoping for another high revving, normally aspirated V10 however with a bump in displacement to 5.5Ls. 550-600hp, direct injection and that signature BMW V10 baritone.
Unfortunately, I don't think that's going to happen as I have a strange feeling it will use a boring turbocharged V10.

It is going to have (M5) a twin-turbocharged V8, similiar (if not just more powerful) than the one in the current X6 50i and new 7-series. Several European magazines have confirmed this as the V10 is extremely thirsty and not great with emissions either.
