Ferrari now has the top two drivers from Sunday's Belgian Grand Prix on its F1 team. Today, Scuderia Ferrari announced that Giancarlo Fishichella will leave Force India and drive car number 3 in the Italian GP at Monza on September 13. Fisichella finished a triumphant 2nd at Spa. He replaces Luca Badoer, who had been filling in for the injured Felipe Massa.
"I chose Fisichella for several reasons, starting with the fact he deserves it, that he's on great form and that he is an expert driver," said Ferrari President, Luca di Montezemolo. "On top of that, we all wanted to have an Italian driver in our car for Monza and lastly, because it takes the long term view, as he will be our third driver."
