Last week we brought you spy photos of a 7-passenger Ford C-Max minivan in full camouflage, along with official images of the 5-seat C-Max that will debut at the Frankfurt Auto Show. Today, official images of the 7-passenger C-Max leaked out. We now know the vehicle will be called Ford Grand C-Max. And given that one of the photos shows the Grand C-Max next to the 5-seater C-Max, there's little doubt it will be in Frankfurt.
Like the Mazda 5, the Ford Grand C-Max has sliding rear doors and three rows of seating. Check the photos after the jump, and you'll notice, the second-row can be configured as a three-across bench or as a pair of captain's chairs. Our U.S.-spec Mazda 5 has the latter configuration only (and tops out at 6 passengers), but we've taken a ride in a Euro-spec Mazda 5 that had the same 40/20/40 setup as this Grand C-Max.
Still no official confirmation on whether the Ford Grand C-Max will come to the U.S., but it seems like a sensible move.
More photos after the jump.

Something tells me that the 6MT in that pic won't make it to the USA.

This is the kind of car that Ford SHOULD be selling in the US. If it's even remotely fun to drive, I'd be interested in one.

Seven passengers, REALLY??!! Guess you can't have legs or arms if you want to sit in that tiny last row.

^ Agreed. 7!?
I don't think I'd call this a minivan. It looks closer to a Versa or a Fit with, for whatever reason, 2 useless seats in the back.

The last row's seats are good only for 7 yo kids or smaller, and then there's the safety thing mentioned upthread.
I'd like a car like this, but with only five seats and being able to take the second row further back than usual. 5 comfortable adults FTW.

Which, of course, is exactly why it won't. I'd actually consider buying a Ford it the cars we have here were more like the cars Europe gets.

I agreed with 7driver. The US verison we will probably get a 4 sp MT and a 4 sp AT ha ha ha...
Well, maybe Ford will surprise us with a 6 DSG of some sort. This will get stands out. Look at the Mazda 5 mostly are driven by younger parent. Ford can target this segment with some Hip parent and need to look good, fun to drive, and space.

That's a fairly small car being rear ended by a flat bed truck at 40 mph. I'm surprised it did as well as it did.
I don't agree it would be been fatal though.

Dosen't matter what kind of car if its hit by a flat bed truck it will become a pices crap. Not even a Hummer can stand it. Wait, why are people buying a car to crash it into a flat bed though???

That sure looks like a temporary-use kids-only third seat to me, with no storage to speak of behind.

Clearly the 7th passenger rides on the roof. Took me a while to figure it out.
Cool styling, though.
Ford really, really, really needs to get some of their Euro models over to the U.S. Talk about increasing market share!
