On a slightly more serious note than the Bugatti electric (but only slightly), was this Volkswagen e Up! concept.
As you might assume, the "e" in the name stands for electric. (We have no explanation for the exclamation point in the name.) This is what VW described as "what an electric car could look like in 2013."

It occurs to us that the standard petroleum-powered Up! minicar looks pretty much like what most people would think of when you say "electric car" anyway. But that's neither here nor there.
The e Up! stores its electrons in lithium-ion batteries mounted underneath the passenger floor. The little front-drive e Up! is estimated to have a range of about 80 miles and a top speed of 80 mph. So at full speed, the e Up! would run for about an hour.
The concept carries an audio system that broadcasts the sound of a high-performance gas engine at the push of a button. The roof panel has solar panels for recharging and cooling the interior while stationary.
And in the back is a lithium-ion-powered scooter, which VW's Ulrich Hackenberg gamely used to exit stage right.
