For Shelby Daytona enthusiasts who don't have at least $7.5 million burning a hole in their pockets, Shelby Distribution U.S.A. has unveiled the next best thing: the Cobra Daytona Coupe MKII.
It carries a CSX9000 serial number and is recorded in the Shelby registry. New features for the second-gen are an expanded seating area, electric windows, revised air scoops behind the rear window, bigger mufflers for the side-pipes and a few performance changes.
The car is available with either a fiberglass or aluminum body, and is a rolling chassis - so buyers must add their own tranny and engine. The independent front and rear suspension is made up of Bilstein coilovers, H&R springs and a Dana Hydratac limited-slip differential. 18-inch "original style" knock-off wheels are also part of the package.
Shelby keeps it comfy inside with black leather and Alcantara upholstery and air conditioning.
$89,900 will get you the rolling fiberglass chassis (the aluminum body costs $195,900), and more info can be found on the Shelby Distribution site.

That is WAY overpriced for an aluminum chassis. You are truly buying a name for that pricetag.
