You may have already heard that the new 2010 Lexus IS 350 Convertible isn't the sportiest of two-doors. No big surprise there, it's a Lexus after all. But this is the IS 350, the car that was supposed to put Lexus into the heads of potential BMW buyers.
To give the standard model a little help, our test car was outfitted with nearly every upgrade in the IS-C catalog. Brakes, suspension, intake and exhaust, it's all on there and it's all expensive.
So how does it all come together? Good, but not great says Chief Road Test Editor Chris Walton. There are improvements across the board, but only some of them are worth paying for in his estimation. See what works and what doesn't in our latest full test of the 2010 Lexus IS-C.

62k for a Solara look-alike.

Sweet pic, nonetheless.

I don't understand why Lexus decided on a drop top 2 door without adding regular coupe. The IS's direct competition all have coupe variants and they sell very well.
Blueguy, although I really never cared for the current Lexus IS (with the exception of the awesome 3.5L V6 and the IS-F), I don't even see a hint of Solara.
The G37 convertible looks almost identical to the Sebring convertible from some rear angles and the Lexus SC430 heavily resembles a Solara.

I dont see solara style here.
As an owner of the older IS300 (but with 416rwhp) the 250 F-sport I drove was fun but not really worth the $$$. Better suspension and response over stock though.

honda, it's just long, plain and ugly. Much like the 3 series coupe but even more wedge-like/solara-like. no style. No flair. nothing elegant or sporty or stately about it. Just a design that elicits ennui.
