Details on the 2010 Nissan Sentra were released today. In addition to a mild facelift that includes revised headlights, a new grille and restyled taillights, the Sentra also received a new pricing structure that chops as much as $1,080 off the MSRP depending on the trim level.
Revised options packages, redesigned wheels and new exterior colors round out the changes to the entry-level sedan. The 2010 Nissan Sentra is available at dealers now.

I always appreciate a price drop. Hope the Vensa gets a similar drop.

But can you get a SE-R?

I've never been a fan of the Sentra. Its a awkward step between the Versa and the Altima that doesn't seem to work. I don't see many on the road where I live, so perhaps others share my opinion.

The Sentra competes directly with the Corolla and Civic. The last gen Sentra sold extremely well, and I don't think this one is doing that bad either. Perhaps the price drop is evidence of it underselling Nissan's estimates, however.
Regardless, the price-drop is good. Glad to see someone is lowering prices these days.

One hardly ever hears anything about the Sentra. Given Nissan's increased popularity over the past decade one would think the Sentra would get some praise.

Eh, I don't see it.

An underwhelming car, in my opinion. And its styling is also a bit...uh, underwhelming, and odd at the same time.

The Sentra used to be a real tuner's car (read: ricer), but its proportions have gotten less and less athletic over the past couple of generations.

The new look is not great. Good cars though.

Once upon a time, the Sentra used to be THE athletic sport compact, peaking with the original B13 SE-R in the early 90's.
I once had a 2001 B15 Sentra SE, powered by the legendary SR20-DE I4. It was an excellent car, and I lamented Nissan's redesign to the current body style, as I felt even the facelifted version of the B15 (in 2004) was much more attractive than the current gen.
Regardless, the main driver behind the current Sentra's slab-sided appearance is the fact that the platform was designed to support a sedan and an SUV (Rogue) with minimal modification to the suspension components.

And both the Sedan and Suv are ackward... :-\ I don't like either much.
