The 2010 Porsche Panamera will make its North American debut in Monterey in a few weeks, so in order to insure that they would arrive in time, Porsche grabbed some space on a very large cargo plane to fly them over straight from the plant in Leipzig.
Scheduled to go on sale in mid-October, the Porsche Panamera will be on hand at various venues in Monterey during the weekend of the Concours d'Elegance and Monterey Historic vintage races at Laguna Seca. Prospective buyers will be able to get some seat time, we're told, so if you're seriously in the market for one, your chance for a test drive is coming up in California soon.

That is quite the contraption to get the cars loaded into the airplane, gotta hand it to German engineering for that one! It would have been nice to be the flight crew and have to "divert" to your home airport and "lose" a pallet of Panameras...oops, sorry Porsche!

I thought GM was the one guilty of rebranding the same cars.....terrible. Rather than sink money in new prop.plant equipment with this loser-mobile they could have held off the VW take over....and here I was thinking the Germans were smart.
