Nobody knows where the drop top Camaro lies on the new-GM's to do list, so the SoCal company Newport Convertible Engineering took matters into its own hands and has a 2010 Camaro convertible in the works.
NCE showcases one of its rag tops each year at SEMA, and, after the success of the convertible Challenger last year, NCE figured a convertible 2010 Camaro wouldn't disappoint.
The company does compromise some rear seat shoulder and hip room for the top mechanism, and reinforced the windshield frame, rockers and rear quarter panels to make it work. It gets a high-quality canvas exterior, insulation and suede headliner.
You can visit NCE's Web site to place an order and check out the trippy .GIFs of its drop top Toyota Prius and FJ Cruiser, Hummer H2 and H3 and even Cadillac CTS.

I'm not sure what that would cost but I'll bet it's a lot cheaper to just drive over to Ford and buy a Mustang convertible.
You'd have to really love your Chevy.
BTW: You'd more looks in that Prius then you would in any exotic car.

Why would anybody want a hackjob like this, when they can wait a few years, and get it stock for thousands less?

It shouldn't take long for the official car to come out.

Funny how you guys will scan Camaro5 to find a list of one-off defects, take it completely out of context, and declare the Camaro a complete quality failure, but you can't be bothered to search for info on the Camaro Convertible. We've had it confirmed for Q1 2011 for a really long time now.
Edmunds is quickly accelerating to zero credibility.

FJ convertable in the background? Hope they don't roll it off road.
