We bought our 2008 Cadillac CTS about 16 months ago and managed to put a little over 30,000 miles on it since. It proved fairly reliable in terms of major issues, but a host of smaller problems made it a bit annoying at times.
In the end, our staff was split on the car, but for those who liked it, the CTS was one of the most impressive sedans to come out of Detroit in a long time. For all the details, check out the full wrap up on the 2008 Cadillac CTS.

Jitters aside, whether someone buys this car will be based on its looks. They are polarizing.
Personally, I like it. I think it's a fantastic value (as a used car). If it wasn't for the Genesis, I would definitely consider one.

I actually really like the CTS. Its bold without being brash, its refined and definitely several notches above the previous in terms of perceived quality and overall finish as the former didn't have that......look.
Aside from it being a bit over-chromed I think its a worthy competitor. I personally think GM should market this car as a legit 5 Series, E-Class competitor and be don't with it. If they did that Cadillac could produce a smaller, proper BMW 3 Series fighter with even more performance vs the CTS.
