It's a little surprising that the 2010 Jaguar XJ managed to remain under wraps this long, but like all good secrets this one is finally starting to unravel. After several obscure websites put up a few embargoed pictures earlier today, Jaguar said to go ahead and post what's already up. In other words, there's more to come, but this is all we're going to show you for now. Stay tuned.

I think it looks stunning.Has quite a character to itself with the unique front end accentuated with those LED DRL's and what looks to be like a panaromic sunroof. But it has resemblance to the European Ford Mondeo at the front, but still would be fresh to the US market.

Fantastic. Good mix of classical and modern Jaguar styling, finally. The XF would've been perfect if not for the round headlight cutout, imo - this car takes care of that and adds more of the stately look that the XJ needs.

nice car, but it looks very similar to the XF.
Almost too close, IMO. Not sure why they have 2 cars that look so close to each other.
You might as call it the long wheel base XF.

Although I like the XF and most current Jaguar styling, they don't possess what made the pre-Ford Jaguars stand out. Those mysterious, exclusive, almost romantic/emotional styling elements the old Jaguars had have never been able to be duplicated by the newer Jags. Compared to those cars these newer models come off a bit vanilla.
I like the car above however it simply looks like a stretched XF with a Hyundai Azera like rear quarter.

car designers are running out of ideas. I couldn't agree more hondacura4. The classic jags were sexy sexy cars with beautiful lines that still stir me when I see them rarely on the road. mmmm xj12. And i'm 21, I never got the opportunity to experience them new.

they could have kept some of the old Classic XJ styling in this new car, but doesn't look like they did. The new XF is a great car, though.
But the old school jags had to change. Just like Cadillac, you can't keep chasing after 65 year olds.
People die and you have to appeal to younger buyers and look for new market share.
When the average age of your car is over 60 years old, you need to do something or might be out of business soon.

I like it. What is the difference in everything but looks vs the XF?

XJ's have all alumiunum body. lot more expensive to manufacture. i thought it might have an air suspension as well

It's enticing. Let's see how much they sell for.

Oh man, they were doing so good... till they got to the back of the car! It looks TERRIBLE! Where did they get their isnpiration?! UGH. At least the front looks better. Forget tradition and that old "classic" style. The XF looks awesome-leaps over the dated S-type.

The S-type was hardly traditional.
