Ten days ago we brought you news of a refreshed 2010 Acura RDX with the new corporate grille and a lower-priced front-wheel-drive model. Today, Acura has posted pricing and EPA data for the 2010 RDX on its consumer web site.
And that front-drive 2010 RDX does whittle the price down. It carries a base price of $32,520 (rising to $33,330 with $810 destination) versus $33,895 ($34,705 with dest) for a base 2009 RDX on which all-wheel drive was standard.
And as hoped, the front-drive RDX is more fuel-efficient, too, with a 19 mpg city/24 mpg highway rating, versus the 17/22 rating for the all-wheel-drive RDX.
If you do want AWD, it's now a little more expensive to get it, as the base SH-AWD RDX costs $34,520 (the price shown in the pic), or $35,330 with destination. This is an increase of $625.
Adding the Technology package (navigation plus the Panasonic ELS audio system) to either a front-drive or AWD 2010 Acura RDX increases your bottom line by $3,100.

I absolutely hate Acura's new corporate face however it doesn't look so bad on the RDX. It actually looks cleaner vs the pre-MMC RDX.
All it needs now is the ZDX's new 6AT, direct injection and additional anti-lag technologies.

I was hoping Acura would update the tail lights.

That's still not a great mpg. 19/26 would look better.

I hate the Acura grill. Period. It looks bad on all of its cars.

I feel sorry for Acura, in a way - they're just trying to do something, ANYTHING, to differentiate their cars and make them stand out in some way. Even if that means making them some of the ugliest cars on the market. It's too bad...

Wow, these nasty grills are about as ugly as the ones Subaru tried out a few years ago. They didn't work for Subaru, they won't work for Acura. I give them a couple of years before they get ditched. Did everyone at their design centers suffer some sort of temporary blindness? Surely somebody must have said something right?

This vehicle just became more irrelevant, if that's possible. It's a gilded, overpriced CRV with an ugly beak.

RAV4 V-6 AWD - 19/26
Equinox V-6 AWD - 17/24
Escape V-6 4WD - 17/24
Then you have the RDX....

Acura does not make one attractive car.

Great vehicle, too bad about the face. Not as bad as the eagle-beak TL though. Then there's Ford's new tasteless, over-chromed slab grille...yuck. What a shame, to build decent cars, then slap those birth-control mugs on 'em.

Can we vote on which is worse. Acura beak or Ford's bland slab grill.
