LS9-Powered Camaro Up and Running

Have to agree with compliance. I'm not that impressed by the ability to stuff a different small-block into a Camaro, especially when it would likely cost about 80k including the donor car to do so. If you need 4 seats and a supercharged small-block, buy a CTS-V and have a tuner like Hennessy find a hundred horsepower for probably 5 grand. Now, if cash-starved GM can find a way to install the LS9 (or CTS-V spec version) into the Camaro and keep the price under 50 grand, I'd say they'd have a grand slam on their hands that would likely eliminate the Shelby GT500 in most every catagory. But knowing GM.... they'll wait 4 years, introduce a half-baked product, spend 3 years getting it right, then kill it!

Holy cow, I have to say, that exhaust sound is worth the price of admission alone.

It sounds like a muscle car from the '60s, or a custom built hot rod engine with a lopey cam at idle. But I think it's a few too many decibels when revving.

The only way I would buy a Camaro, is if GM put the ZO6 engine in it.
