Not sure if this is a good sign or not. On one hand, the fact that you can score a new supercharged Hennessey HPE550 Camaro on Ebay means it actually exists, or will exist in the near future.
On the other hand, if Hennessey is already resorting to Ebay auctions to sell his latest creation, maybe demand isn't quite what he had hoped. The bidding started at just under $60,000.

Hennessey is a crook, or at the very least a jerk. I'm glad to see that he's getting what's coming to him-- diminished business.

Zero bids. Unproven car 'tested' with race gas. No warranty.
Interesting tid bit, not yet finished but has 100 miles on it...

I'd rather buy the standard SS. If the Z28 existed there'd be no reason for me to buy Hennessey's version.

As useless as I think that car is, I must say I'm surprised ppl aren't jumping at it. Are suckers not born every second anymore?

why is he a crook?

All his cars hit ebay like this. That is nothing new.
People call him a crook because he was allegedly not delivering cars and selling parts of customers cars.
I don't know that he was charged with anything, but internet gangsters typically like to propagate this story (while driving 10 year old chevy luminas and living with their parents) with no concrete knowledge of why they are calling him a crook.

He was using bits of customers' cars to fix up other cars that were ahead in the service queue.

That does sound really bad.
