Cinema Vehicles of North Hollywood, California is selling one of the five 1969 Mercedes-Benz 280 SE convertibles that it built for the hit new movie Hangover. The car is listed on ebay right now and is currently bid to $20,000 although the reserve is not met.
Cinema Vehicles states in that ad that it has built cars for many movies including the Eleanor Mustangs for Gone in 60 Seconds, the Torinos for Starsky and Hutch and the Bugs for Herbie Fully Loaded. The company also states that this Benz was a coupe before they hit it with a sawzall.
"Top was cut off and the rear covered with foam and a soft top cover." says the ad. " From any distance it looks like a real convertible."
On screen too.
The ad also says, "This car will someday soon be the equivalent of owning the origninal Deathmobile from Animal House or ECTO 1 from Ghostbusters."
Yeah, ya think?
By the way, the air conditioning does not work.

No doubt, it will be worth something, but without an operable top, no thanks.

There's a rare Lincoln Blackwood in the background....
