it's realy funny. We glamorize these cars for what they did on screen, but in reality, they were really were just iron lumps by todays standards. Having said that I would still love to have either one of them sitting in my driveway for use a daily driver... and I would use them as a daily driver.

For me, I would rather have the General Lee because its faster than the Torino and that it has a better paint scheme and body than the Torino as well.

Charger - '68 - '70 Charger was always my favorite car of that time period....long before DoH showed up on the tube.

^Yep -- and you could also see the suspension collapse when it landed. I'm sure the production of DoH destroyed a lot of those Chargers back then, when they were a dime a dozen, and hardly anyone cared or realized they'd be semi-collectible one day.
I knew the Torino wouldn't be as fast, as by '74, cars were generally heavier, and their engines were strangled by emissions equipment.
That gal driving was cute. Who is she?

I'm pretty sure that Starskey's Torino had the 460 in it,not the 351. Although, Wikipedia says the 351 (Cleveland not Windsor)had a higher HP rating than the 460.
