Chrysler and Fiat have gotten approval from the bankruptcy court to honor warranty and lemon law claims, Automotive News
is reporting. This would apply to all Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep vehicles manufactured in the 5 years leading up to the company's bankruptcy filing on April 30.
This is a turnaround from a May report that indicated customers were already having difficulty getting their lemon-law payout checks honored. Subsequently, several states, led by Iowa attorney general, Tom Miller, went to the court to advocate on consumers' behalf.
