Full Test: 2009 Volkswagen CC 2.0T

Volkswagen has built another "image" car, and this time it got the formula right. Unlike the misunderstood Phaeton, the CC doesn't take much explanation. It looks good, feels good and doesn't cost a fortune. Executive Editor Michael Jordan didn't even mind the base four-cylinder engine. Is this the halo car Volkswagen has been waiting for?

Decent car. Sloppy suspension for me but for most people it will do. Good interior space and quality materials throughout. Compared to cars like the Accord and Mazda6 the CC is better all around for people who like to drive.

I don't like the looks at all. All the reviews mention how stylish it is. It's supposed to be, but it looks clumsy to me. It is definitely styled, but not stylish. I like the regular Passat a lot better, and this is coming from someone who LOVES the CLS.

It'd be nice if this interior came on the regular Passat.

The CLS does it so much better, in both looks, performance, and luxury. You really get what you pay for.

^Get rid of that "both." Damn lack of an edit feature.

Looks nice, probably drives great - but, the seats are too narrow for American men. Not sure why it has such narrow seats - maybe designed for women.

I actually like the design inside and out and the price seems fair for the quality and substance the car has. However like another poster stated, Id probably go for the Passat as its cheaper, has the same or similar interior and a bit better utlilty.

"but, the seats are too narrow for American men"

Maybe American men are too wide for the seats? =)

abqhudson,

Whoa I object. Those bolsters are suppose to hold a man in good physical health snugly. That's the way it should be.

If you are talking about those obese men, doctors are working hard to fight obesity so people quit dropping dead from heart attacks and strokes. Car makers rightfully should join in the fight against obesity, not support it.

amen Billt. The seats fit me fine.
