Fast & Furious Movie Car Stolen From L.A. Warehouse

gtr-stolen-555.jpg

See that open garage door? That would be the front of the warehouse where a GT-R from Fast and Furious was being stored. This security shot shows a couple thieves driving it away after breaking in to the Sun Valley storage facility. The owner said the car was worth at least $75,000, but was not insured. Agent O'Connor would not approve.

Who doesn't insure a $75,000 car? My sympathy is limited.

Who sells insurance for custom cars?

You can insure anything. Lloyds is probably the most famous for insuring whatever you want, but they're not the only option.

I agree with "brn". You own a $75,000 car, it's on loan / in storage and you don't insure?

Especially when it's in a storage facility in Sun Valley, CA (a run-down area just outside of L.A.)?!?

I completely agree: this is owner-error. As my pappy said, "Ya can't fix stupid."

"Especially when it's in a storage facility in Sun Valley, CA (a run-down area just outside of L.A.)?!?" Hey there are some good parts of Sun Valley. I happened to grow up in one of them. It was just on the border of Burbank, but still, it was Sun Valley.

But yeah...storing it in one of the not so nice parts of Sun Valley without insurance, not a smart move.

Couldn't have happened to a "nicer" guy. Hopefully they never find the car. Karma is a bitch, and its paying Chris back right now.

Poor thing... most probably they'll chop it up since they cant really drive it out in the open.
Hope they crash in it and die... LOL!

Burbank bordering Sun Valley? That's the bad part of Burbank...

The stolen car is not even in the country legally. It should have been exported when the movie was done with it, not sold. Since it was imported on a TIB, it should have been shipped back to Japan when they were done with it.

Temporary Importation Guidelines.
