Does this vehicle make any sense? In one way, yes it does. Escalades drink considerable amounts of gas, so even knocking a mere 10% off that amount results in some real world fuel savings.
Is it enough to make a difference to your bottom line? Not really. Then again, Escalades have never really been about value. This is an SUV that's all about image, and when it comes to that category, combining a luxury vehicle with a hybrid drivetrain could be a stoke of genius.

I don't curse. But seeing Escalades always makes me want to start. The hybrid badge doesn't help.

Lexus has played this card well as I see RX Hybrids EVERYWHERE. Id say at least 30-35% of the RX's that Ive seen in my area are hybrids.

I'm pretty sure it is illegal to park that vehicle on residential streets in Los Angeles. Can Edmunds check into this? It's all part of it weighing over 6000lbs. Vehicles that heavy are considered commercial, which is also why Caddy does not have to post it's mpgs.

In what way does this vehicle say that you're doing your part in saving the environment? That's like having someone work out everyday proclaiming their a health nut, and shaking out a pack of unfiltered cigarettes.
