If you don't already know the difference between a standard 911 and the 911 GT3, read the first couple paragraphs of contributor Andrew Frankel's first drive. After that, you'll know whether you care or not.
Some won't, as the GT3 is built for a select group of 911 enthusiasts, and we're not talking about the Porsche hat and golf shirt group. No, this is a Porsche 911 in a more classic role, and it's one we rarely grow tired of.

Are the GT2 and GT3 drivable on regular roads or do they have stiff suspension from hell?

I obviously haven't driven the 2010 GT3 but the "current" GT2 and GT3 are both stiffly sprung but entirely tolerable on public roads here in S. CA. I don't know that I'd want to drive them through the pot holes of Detroit or NYC but they're not at all uncomfortable.

I LOVE the GT3. If they were reasonably priced, I'd definitely buy one.

I still like the Turbo more.

If you are worried about ride quality, this car or this type of car isnt for you. If you seek something from the Porsche stable thats more comfortable, Id go with the standard Carerra, Carerra S or the Turbo. The GT3 isnt the type of car with mass appeal and thats the purpose.

I'm waiting for the GT3 RS. In smurf blue. The standard GT3 is too soft for me.
